MegaETH

MegaETH is a real-time Ethereum Layer 2 designed to bring instant, high-capacity execution to EVM applications. It gives developers an environment for fast onchain trading, autonomous worlds, real-time games, consumer DeFi, and interactive crypto products that need far more speed than traditional EVM chains can provide.

The network uses a specialized architecture where sequencers, provers, full nodes, and replica nodes each handle different parts of the system. By shifting security and censorship resistance to Ethereum and EigenDA, MegaETH can focus its execution layer on speed, lower latency, and stronger performance for next-generation dApps.

How MegaETH Works:

MegaETH introduces a specialized node architecture designed to remove traditional blockchain limitations. A high-performance sequencer executes transactions in real time, while replica nodes apply state updates without re-executing every transaction, reducing overhead and improving speed. Provers validate blocks asynchronously, and full nodes provide fast finality for advanced users and infrastructure participants.

By separating responsibilities across node types, MegaETH avoids the bottlenecks of monolithic execution and enables continuous transaction processing instead of waiting for block intervals.

Performance & Execution:

MegaETH is built to process transactions as they arrive, rather than batching them into slow block cycles. This allows:

• Higher throughput compared to traditional EVM chains

• Support for compute-heavy and real-time applications

The design focuses on practical performance gains instead of isolated optimizations, addressing execution, state updates, and data propagation together.

Token & Gas:

The $MEGA token has a fixed supply of 10,000,000,000 tokens and serves as the native ecosystem asset, expected to play a role in governance, incentives, and network alignment.

$ETH is used as the gas token, meaning all transactions on MegaETH are paid in ETH.
