Ducat is a Bitcoin-native credit protocol that lets $BTC holders borrow against their collateral without leaving Layer 1. $BTC is locked into a non-custodial 2-of-2 Taproot vault, and the borrower receives $UNIT — a dollar-pegged stablecoin issued natively on Bitcoin via the Runes standard — or USDC converted 1:1 on the spot.

Loan logic runs through Bitcoin Script with no bridges, no wrapped tokens, and no external execution layer. A decentralised Guardian network co-signs vault transactions to enforce protocol rules without ever controlling the collateral. Loans carry a one-time 1% origination fee and zero ongoing interest, with full BTC redemption in a single block on repayment.

The company is incorporated in the US and has raised $1.25M in a pre-seed round led by UTXO Management, with participation from Hivemind Capital, CMS Holdings, Echo, Bitcoin Frontier Fund, Samara Asset Group, and others. The team includes co-founders David Evans (fintech, former crypto publisher), Alex Forshaw (Wall Street long/short equity and stablecoin design), and Lucas Rodriguez Benitez (eight years in blockchain, previously blockchain lead for Art Basel).

Step by step guide Ducat Airdrop

Set up your wallet → Install a dedicated testnet wallet — Unisat or Xverse — switch the network to Bitcoin Testnet4 (Beta), and in wallet settings set the address type to P2TR. Full setup walkthrough on the official Ducat testnet guide.
Connect your wallet → Head to the Ducat Protocol Testnet portal, connect your wallet, and sign to register.
Claim testnet BTC → Head to the BTC Faucet and claim 0.1 Mutinynet BTC. The faucet resets every 24 hours — come back daily to keep your wallet funded for vault actions.
Complete Missions → Go to the Missions tab and work through all three mission groups:
• Mission 1 — The First Leap (Connect your socials): Connect Matrica (+2,000 Quanta), Discord (+2,000), 𝕏 (+2,000), and Telegram (+2,000). One-time tasks, max 8,000 Quanta total.
• Mission 2 — Foundation Set (Protocol actions): Open a vault (+3,000 Quanta, one-time). Then repeat the following up to 35 times each for +300 Quanta per action: Borrow $UNIT, Repay $UNIT, Deposit BTC, Withdraw BTC. Liquidate a vault earns +300 Quanta up to 5 times. Max 46,500 Quanta total.
• Mission 3 — Echo the Signal (Social tasks): Like Ducat’s Tweet (+250), Join Discord (+250), Retweet Ducat’s Tweet (+250), Follow Ducat’s 𝕏 account (+250), Follow Ducat’s Telegram Announcement Channel (+250), Like the Liquidation Announcement Tweet (+250). Max 1,500 Quanta total.
• Side Missions: Earn extra Quanta by earning a Discord role, through NFT boosts, and via partner ecosystem activity.
