Rift
Moving Bitcoin across chains has always required tradeoffs, usually involving multisigs, custodians, or bridge operators. Rift takes a different path by using secure hardware enclaves to coordinate swaps directly between Bitcoin and Ethereum 🔁
With an 8M seed round led by Paradigm and support from WTG Ventures, Edge Capital, and Founders Inc, Rift is the first peer to peer Bitcoin trading protocol connecting Bitcoin and Ethereum through secure enclave settlement 🔒✨
When you send BTC, the enclave verifies the payment through its Bitcoin full node and releases cbBTC to your Ethereum wallet once confirmations clear. When you send ERC-20 tokens, Uniswap provides the liquidity routing before a market maker completes the Bitcoin delivery.
With an 8M seed round led by Paradigm and support from WTG Ventures, Edge Capital, and Founders Inc, Rift is the first peer to peer Bitcoin trading protocol connecting BTC and ETH.
🪂 As the protocol gains traction and moves toward future milestones, many users believe Rift may eventually introduce a token. Nothing has been confirmed, yet early interaction with the platform could become meaningful if the team follows the retroactive airdrop patterns used by major infrastructure projects. It remains speculation, but the possibility feels reasonable.
How it works:
Rift’s architecture centers on TEEs that generate one time wallets and isolate the settlement logic inside a verifiable environment. The enclave executes the swap flow internally, verifies chain data through its embedded full nodes, and ensures that assets only unlock when conditions are met.
The team is also exploring zero knowledge verification as a long term upgrade, aiming for a system where Bitcoin payments can be proven directly on Ethereum through ZK light clients.
This research could unlock trustless cross chain applications, Bitcoin based DeFi, and more advanced settlement mechanisms. Partners like Uniswap, Aerodrome, and Base reinforce the protocol’s broader ecosystem and technical direction.

Step by step guide Rift Airdrop
Visit the Interface → Head to the Rift DEX platform and connect your wallet. You can connect either an Ethereum wallet or a Bitcoin wallet depending on the direction of your swap.
Choose What You Want to Swap → Select the direction of your swap:
• If the input asset is BTC, the output will be cbBTC on Ethereum.
• If the input asset is an ERC20 token such as ETH, USDT, or USDC, the output will be BTC on the Bitcoin side.
Proceed With the Swap → Always verify transaction details before confirming:
• For BTC to Ethereum, send the exact BTC amount to the one time address generated.
• For ERC20 to BTC, approve your token and confirm the quote shown on screen.
Wait for Confirmations → The enclave monitors both chains internally and releases the corresponding asset once the required confirmations are complete.
Review the Outcome → Your cbBTC or BTC will appear in your connected wallet, and the History tab keeps a record of all completed swaps.
