Morten Christensen is the founder of AirdropAlert, the first crypto airdrop aggregator, live since June 2017. Over nine years he has published more than 1,000 articles on the site — farming guides, exchange reviews, trading fundamentals, and market analysis — alongside a curated database of 6,000+ vetted airdrops.
When he launched the site, airdrops were barely known outside a small circle. Projects were skeptical about giving tokens away, and users were just as skeptical about claiming them — believe it or not, handing out free money was a hard sell in those days. Morten started AirdropAlert to close that educational gap from both sides: making the case to projects for why token giveaways work — popularizing the endowment-effect framing for airdrops that has since appeared in publications across the industry, including the Bitcoin wiki — and building an easy, repeatable format for users to claim them.
That format meant going A to Z. His step-by-step guides didn't start at "how to claim this airdrop" — they started at how to set up a wallet and how bridging works, walking complete beginners through every step in between. He later applied the same approach to the rest of crypto: security and safety, DeFi strategies, and trading.
Since 2017, AirdropAlert has helped millions of users discover crypto airdrops, while Morten has personally tested hundreds of protocols and documented both the wins and the mistakes along the way. In that time he has watched the industry evolve from simple Twitter and Telegram giveaways to sophisticated point systems, testnets, and on-chain reputation models — and documented every step of that evolution. Very few people can honestly say that.
He bought his first Bitcoin in 2013, four years before starting the site, and has written through every cycle since: the 2017 ICO mania, the DeFi summer of 2020, the NFT and play-to-earn wave, and the points-and-testnet era that reshaped airdrop farming. His guides tend to age well because they focus on the mechanics that repeat across cycles — eligibility design, sybil filters, token distribution — rather than chasing whatever narrative is trending that month.
Before crypto went full-time, Morten spent six years as a professional poker player (2011–2017), logging more than five million hands. That data-driven background runs through all of his trading content: position sizing, expected value, and the discipline to write up losing trades as openly as winning ones. His market analysis posts document his actual positions — entries, exits, and reasoning — rather than hindsight commentary.
His trading fundamentals series, now past 29 parts, takes readers from support and resistance basics through order flow, volume profiles, and funding rates. The airdrop side of his writing draws on strategies he runs himself, including the delta-neutral approaches he has used to farm allocations while staying market-neutral.
Morten is Dutch, originally from Nijmegen, and writes from Mexico. He has visited 75+ countries on all seven continents — Antarctica included — and holds participation in two Guinness World Records.
In his free time he runs the occasional marathon, keeps a simple three-times-a-week gym routine, and turns up at the odd crypto event — the Trump memecoin galas included. The rest goes to family time, and beers and banter with friends over a football match.
