Janus Protocol
DeFi has long sought a better stability model, yet most systems still depend on overcollateralization, rigid peg mechanics, or trust in centralized issuers.
Janus introduces a different approach with what it describes as Stablecoin 3.0: a Proof-of-Belief reserve asset where stability is shaped through participation, conviction, and market behavior.
It’s a dual-token risk-tranched protocol where users choose the exposure that matches their strategy. Both assets share the same collateral base, but each one serves a different role:
• Alpha (α) → Suited for users seeking higher yield with more risk.
• Omega (Ω) → Suited for users seeking stability and lower volatility.
This structure separates growth-focused exposure from defensive positioning, giving participants a clearer way to interact with risk without forcing every user into the same model.
Janus also introduces Proof-of-Belief through recurring Epoch Markets, where users take YES or NO positions around protocol stability. YES aligns with healthy conditions, while NO acts as the stress-side position during instability. The result is a reserve asset system where collateral, risk tranching, and market conviction become part of the onchain mechanics themselves.
🪂 Janus Beta & Early Participation
The Janus Beta is live on Base Sepolia, letting users test this Proof-of-Belief model. You can mint Alpha and Omega, stake, join Epoch Markets, and complete Zealy quests.
In prior Janus materials, a $JNS token and airdrop allocation were mentioned.
While the Beta does not guarantee a live airdrop, early participation—via Beta actions and Zealy quests—may be beneficial if rewards materialize.

Janus Protocol
Step by step guide Janus Protocol Airdrop
Claim Test Assets → Switch your wallet to Base Sepolia, make sure you have testnet ETH for gas, then claim test USDC from the Circle Faucet.
Test the Janus MVP → Go to the Janus MVP, connect your wallet, and complete the main protocol actions.
• Mint Alpha and Omega from the Vault using test USDC.
• Choose your risk split between Alpha and Omega.
• Stake Alpha or Omega in the Rewards section.
• Enter the Epoch Market with Omega and vote YES or NO on the protocol’s stability.
• Return after the epoch ends to settle, claim, or roll over rewards.
📌 Alpha is the risk-absorbing junior tranche, while Omega is the senior tranche used for Epoch Market bets. YES supports a stable outcome, NO is the stress-side position, and Omega used for a bet stays locked until the epoch ends and settles.
Complete Zealy Tasks → Visit the Janus Zealy Board, finish tasks, and invite friends to strengthen your early contributor profile.
