zkSync Era – Mainnet α
Greetings! As you may recall, we previously released articles about zkSync Testnet & zkSync Lite Mainnet, revealing the forthcoming launch of the zkSync Era∎ Mainnet.
Now, we're thrilled to announce that zkSync Era∎ Mainnet Alpha is now open to all users, and we're here to guide you through the process of interacting with the network. Learning about zkSync and actively using the network could potentially qualify you for a future retroactive Airdrop after the zkSync TGE, as occurred with Arbitrum. No zkSync token yet, beware of scams!
About zkSync, zkSync Lite, and zkSync Era∎
zkSync is a ZK rollup, a trustless protocol that uses cryptographic validity proofs to provide scalable and low-cost transactions on Ethereum. In zkSync, computation is performed off-chain and most data is stored off-chain as well. zkSync users will be able to pay cheaper fees on transactions with tokens besides $ETH, with the security and decentralization of Ethereum.
zkSync Era∎ (previously zkSync 2.0) introduces the zkEVM which allows developers to deploy Solidity smart contracts on zkSync. This means any ÐApp on Ethereum today can easily be moved over to zkSync with minimal to zero code changes.
zkSync Lite (previously zkSync 1.0) is a trustless protocol for scalable, low-cost payments on Ethereum, powered by ZK rollup technology.
