Potential Airdrops FAQ
What is a potential airdrop?
A potential airdrop is a reward from a project that has not launched a token yet but is expected to. The expectation rests on signals: a live points program, venture funding, a growing product and documentation that mentions a community allocation. Nothing is confirmed until the token generation event, which is why we label these as potential rather than live.
How do you know if a project will do an airdrop?
You cannot know for certain, but strong signals exist. A points dashboard is the clearest one, because projects rarely score users without planning to reward them. Venture backing, a token mentioned in the docs or governance forum, and a product that competes with projects that already airdropped all raise the odds. Our guide on spotting the next airdrop meta explains how to read these signals early.
Are potential airdrops guaranteed?
No. A potential airdrop stays speculative until the project confirms a token and a community allocation in writing. Some projects run points seasons for years without launching, and others launch with far smaller allocations than farmers expected. Treat every potential farm as a bet with a defined cost in time and capital, and size it accordingly.
Which potential airdrops are live right now?
The live list on this page shows every tokenless project our team has verified, with the signals for each one explained in its guide. We update it daily, so new points programs and funded launches appear as soon as we confirm them. Once a project announces its token, the listing moves to the confirmed category.
How long does it take for a potential airdrop to pay out?
Usually months, sometimes more than a year. Projects first run one or more points seasons, then take a snapshot of activity, and only then announce the token. Hyperliquid farmers waited about a year for HYPE. Patience is part of the strategy, which is why most farmers hold a few potential positions at once rather than one.
Can I lose money farming potential airdrops?
Yes, in two ways. The project may never launch a token, so your time and fees earn nothing. And any capital you deposit carries normal DeFi risk: price swings, exploits and liquidations. Experienced farmers hedge their exposure and keep deposits small until a token is confirmed. Our guide on whether airdrop farming is still safe covers how to manage both risks.
How do I check if I qualified for an airdrop?
When a potential airdrop becomes a confirmed one, the project publishes a claim page or allocation checker. Paste your wallet address there to see your share. To catch drops you may have missed on past farms, run your wallets through our airdrop eligibility checker, which scans for unclaimed allocations across projects.
