FOMO is a mobile-first, gasless memecoin trading app where you follow real traders, see their buys and sells live, and read why they hold. After two weeks and $250k of my own volume it covered my family trip. Here is the full review, including fees, safety, withdrawals, and the $2k toilet misclick.
Updated September 28, 2026: added fees, supported chains, withdrawal steps and a comparison with the terminals I used before.
Two weeks in the Netherlands with my wife and kids. Theme parks, family visits, way too many frikandellen. The whole trip got covered by trading memecoins from my phone while the kids were playing.
That is the short version. The longer version involves around $250k in volume over those two weeks, a painful misclick on the toilet, and a new way of deciding which coins to hold. Let’s get into it.

I took out my initial deposit early, so everything on that graph is pure profit. I won’t share exact numbers, but the shape tells the story.
What Is the FOMO App?
FOMO (fomo.family) is a social trading app for memecoins. Instead of staring at charts alone, you follow traders, see their positions in real time, and read the thesis behind every hold. You trade from one balance across several chains without bridging or paying gas.
The team comes from dYdX and has raised around $94 million from Benchmark and Index Ventures. That matters for a simple reason. Most memecoin tools are two guys and a Telegram bot. This one has a funded company behind it.
If the social trading concept is new to you, I broke down the model in our what is social trading guide. FOMO is the best execution of it I have used so far.
Is the FOMO App Legit?
Yes. FOMO is a legitimate, venture-backed trading app with real volume, a self-custodial wallet, and a public feed of verified traders. I pushed around $250k through it in two weeks and withdrew without a single issue.
A few things I checked before putting real money in:
- Self-custody. FOMO creates a wallet for you, but you can export the private key to Phantom or MetaMask at any time. Your coins are not sitting on an exchange balance sheet.
- Real traders, real positions. Every post in the feed shows the actual on-chain position, entry, and live PnL. Nobody can fake a track record.
- Withdrawals work. I pulled my initial deposit out in the first week. It landed in my own wallet within minutes.
One thing you will notice on Google: FOMO’s Trustpilot score sits around 2 out of 5 from a handful of reviews. Read them and a pattern shows up fast. Most are people who lost money on a memecoin and blamed the app. Losing on a memecoin is not a FOMO problem. Not being able to withdraw would be, and I have not seen that complaint hold up.
The risks are the normal memecoin risks: volatility, slippage on low caps, and following the wrong people. None of those are FOMO problems. They are trench problems, and I cover them below.
FOMO App Fees
FOMO charges 0.50% per trade and covers the gas on every supported chain except Ethereum. There are no deposit fees, no bridging fees, and no native gas tokens to hold.
Two details worth knowing:
- Tiny Solana orders hit a small minimum fee. Below roughly $100 per trade the flat minimum costs more than the percentage. Trade in real size or the effective fee climbs.
- Perps run at 0.05% per side, but perps are not available to US users.
For comparison, most Telegram bots and terminals sit between 0.75% and 1% plus gas. Add the 10% fee discount from our code below and FOMO lands at the cheap end of the market for this kind of speed.
Which Chains Does FOMO Support?
At the time of writing FOMO supports Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Monad, and Robinhood Chain from a single cash balance. You deposit USDC once and trade on any of them. No bridging, no network switching.
That single-balance design is why a coin like PONS on Robinhood Chain or MARSCOIN on BNB sits one tap away from a Solana meme. For me it replaced three wallets and two bridges.
The Alerts Tab: Your Personal Trading Feed
The Alerts tab is where I spend most of my time. You follow traders, and every buy, sell, and thesis they post shows up in a live feed. Filters let you cut the noise, for example only showing trades above $1k.

Here is why this matters. In a Telegram group, you get calls with zero context and no proof. On FOMO, the feed shows the actual position, the entry, and the live PnL next to every post. When someone I follow buys $3k of a coin at a $388k market cap, I see it within seconds and I can check their track record before reacting.
Tracking good traders becomes easy. Copying them blindly is still a bad idea, but knowing what sharp money does in real time is an edge I did not have before.
Holders, Size, and Conviction
This is the feature that changed how fast I build conviction. Open any coin and the Holders tab shows who holds it, how big their position is, how long they have held, and how deep in profit they are.
Take CATE as an example from my own screen. The top holder sat on a $1.3M position, up over 1,000%, with a two-day average hold. Right below him were five more traders with six-figure bags and green PnL. That told me the people who know this coin best were not selling.
Compare that to normal on-chain analysis, where you dig through wallets on a block explorer and guess who is behind them. On FOMO the same information sits one tap away, with names, faces, and history attached.
Holding through a drawdown gets much easier when the biggest holders have not moved. It works the other way too. When top holders start selling, you see it immediately, which gives you the chance to exit before the masses nuke the chart.
The Thesis Tab: Why People Are Holding
Numbers show you what people are doing. The Thesis tab shows you why. Every coin has a feed of theses, and every holder can post one explaining their position.

A good example is unipcs, better known as Bonk Guy, calling USELESS “THE memecoin of the cycle” while sitting in the position at a $225M market cap. Whether you agree or not, reading the reasoning of the biggest holders beats guessing from candles. We covered his full story, including his legendary PONS run on this exact app, in our Who is Bonkguy guide.
My workflow now looks like this: see an alert, check the holders, read the top theses. Three taps, and I have a picture that used to take me twenty minutes of Twitter scrolling and chart staring. That speed is the real product.
My Results: Two Weeks of Phone-Only Trading
I deposited on FOMO right before flying to the Netherlands for a two-week family trip. No desk, no multi-monitor setup, just my phone during nap times and playground visits.
In those two weeks I pushed roughly $250k in trading volume. I pulled my initial deposit out early, and the profit that remained covered the entire trip for the whole family. Flights, stays, everything. Not life-changing money, but trading casually from a phone and ending the holiday net positive after all costs felt like a real unlock. I have kept trading on it daily since I got home.
Now the other side. One evening I opened the app on the toilet, misclicked, and market-bought $30k of a coin with a $3M market cap. I sold back immediately and the slippage cost me around $2k in about ten seconds. The next day that coin did a 2x. So the app punished me twice: once for the fat finger, once for the exit.
The lesson is real though. Low-cap memecoins plus one-tap mobile trading means slippage will hurt you if you are careless with size. Double-check the buy screen before you tap.
A funny feature worth mentioning here: the Fumbled card. The app shows exactly how much profit you missed by selling too early. I cannot post mine because it would doxx my account, but I have a few big ones that will stay stories for the mates. Painful and hilarious at the same time, and very on-brand for an app called FOMO.
Coins I Traded on FOMO
Most of my volume went through coins we have also covered on the site:
Fair warning: I rotate fast. Whatever I hold today I may be out of by the time you read this, so do not tail me on old information. Check the app, look at the holders, read the theses, and make your own call.
The Coins Sending People to FOMO Right Now
Three stories are driving most of the “what is the FOMO app” searches this month, and I traded through all three.
PONS. The Robinhood Chain launchpad token that Bonk Guy rode for roughly 100x on this app. If you want it, our how to buy PONS guide walks through the FOMO route first.
Arc. Circle’s chain went live in September and the launchpad tokens on it moved fast. Our Arc mainnet launch coverage has the full story.
LAPTOP. The Hunter Biden memecoin pulled in a wave of first-time traders who had never opened a wallet. We covered the LAPTOP memecoin launch and the crash that followed.
If the coin you are chasing lives on one of the six supported chains, FOMO is the fastest way in for a beginner. No seed phrase, no gas, no bridge.
How to Withdraw From FOMO
Withdrawing from FOMO takes four taps: open your wallet, tap withdraw, pick the chain and asset, paste the address, confirm. Funds arrive in minutes and FOMO covers the network fee on every chain except Ethereum.
You can withdraw USDC or any token you hold to an external wallet. Double-check the chain matches the destination address before confirming. A transfer sent to the wrong network is gone.
The other route out is exporting your private key into a wallet like Phantom. Our Phantom wallet review covers the import steps if you want your FOMO bags in a wallet you fully control.
Why Can’t I Sell My Coin on FOMO?
If a coin will not sell on FOMO, the problem is almost always the coin, not the app. Four causes cover nearly every case:
- Chain congestion. During a Solana or BNB rush, transactions fail for a minute or two. Wait and retry before touching anything else.
- No liquidity left. The pool was drained or the dev pulled it. Your bag shows a price, but there is nobody on the other side. Check the Holders tab. If the top wallets are gone, so is the exit.
- Honeypot. Some contracts let you buy but block the sell, or hit sells with a 90% tax. FOMO cannot override a contract. The chart looks alive because only buys go through.
- Slippage set too tight. Thin memecoin pools move a lot between the moment you tap and the moment the trade lands. Raise your slippage in small steps and try again. Do not jump straight to a huge number or a bot will eat the difference.
I have hit the first two myself. The fix for both is the same: do the check before you buy, not after. Look at the holders, look at how long they have held, and read the theses before you tap.
FOMO vs Axiom, GMGN and Dexscreener
FOMO is not a terminal, and that is the point. Axiom, GMGN, and Dexscreener give you charts, wallet tracking, and raw on-chain data. FOMO gives you people. You see who is buying, at what size, and why, with the trade one tap away.
I still use the terminals. Our GMGN review covers the smart-money radar I run on desktop, and our Dexscreener review explains why it stays my daily chart check. Neither replaces the Holders and Thesis tabs though. When I want to know whether the biggest bags are holding, FOMO wins every time.
For the full landscape of tools, our guide to the best places to trade meme coins ranks everything I have tested.
Who Is the FOMO App For?
FOMO suits three kinds of traders:
- Beginners who want to buy a trending memecoin without learning wallets, gas, and bridges. Sign up with email or Apple ID, fund with Apple Pay or USDC, and trade.
- Phone traders who cannot sit at a desk all day. The feed does the scanning for you.
- Experienced degens who want the social layer on top of their existing terminal stack. The Holders tab alone is worth the download.
It is a poor fit if you trade sub-$100 clips on Solana (the minimum fee eats you), if you need perps from the US, or if you want to trade chains outside the supported six.
The Potential FOMO Airdrop
FOMO has no token yet, and that has everyone’s attention. We list it as a potential airdrop on AirdropAlert. There is no point system or confirmed snapshot at this time, so nobody can promise you an allocation.
That said, trading apps rewarding early users is one of the oldest plays in crypto, and holder airdrops are back across the board this cycle. If a FOMO token ever lands, active traders with real volume history are the obvious candidates. I would rather build that history on an app I enjoy using than farm something I hate.
Who to Follow on FOMO
The app is only as good as your feed. A few accounts worth following to get started:
- Unipcs, the Bonk Guy himself
- PoorGoat_, probably the biggest PnL on the app right now, not necessarily the best trader
- Pointfarmcap
- The__solstice
- Bluntz_capital
Follow a handful of proven traders, set your alert filter above $1k, and the feed starts working for you instead of drowning you.
Curation cuts both ways. Making sure you do not follow shit traders or KOL pump-and-dumpers is just as valuable as finding the good ones. If a trader constantly dumps on you, or posts a bullish thesis only to sell hours later, you are their exit liquidity. Unfollow them and make a mental note to avoid coins they hold large. The transparency that makes FOMO great also exposes exactly who plays this game, so use it.

Final Words
My verdict after $250k of volume and a month of daily use: FOMO is the most fun I have had trading memecoins since 2021, and the social layer is not a gimmick. Seeing who holds a coin, at what size, with what reasoning, speeds up conviction in both directions. It got me into winners faster and out of dead coins faster.
The risks are equally real. One-tap trading on low caps will punish sloppy fingers, my $2k toilet misclick being exhibit A. Treat position sizing seriously and the app rewards you.
Am I doxxing my trading account? Not yet. Maybe in the future, but for now I keep the numbers private. As always, I will keep you up to date on trending coins and topics through our content and our X account.

FAQ
Is the FOMO app legit? Yes. FOMO is a venture-backed social trading app with a self-custodial wallet, real on-chain positions in its feed, and working withdrawals. I ran around $250k through it in two weeks without issues.
What are the FOMO app fees? 0.50% per trade, with gas covered on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, and Robinhood Chain. Ethereum trades pay network gas on top. Very small Solana orders hit a minimum fee. Code FairSaltySquid takes 10% off for life.
Which chains does FOMO support? Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Monad, and Robinhood Chain, all from one balance without bridging.
How does social trading work on FOMO? You follow traders and see their buys, sells, position sizes, and PnL in a live feed. Every coin page shows its holders and their theses, so you can judge conviction before entering.
How do I withdraw from FOMO? Open your wallet, tap withdraw, choose the chain and asset, paste your address, and confirm. You can also export your private key into Phantom or MetaMask.
Why can’t I sell my coin on FOMO? Usually because the coin has no liquidity, is a honeypot contract, or your slippage is set too tight for a thin pool. FOMO executes what the contract allows. Check the Holders tab and raise slippage in small steps before assuming the app is broken.
Is FOMO available in the US? Yes for spot trading. Perpetual futures are not available to US users.
Does FOMO have an airdrop? Not yet. There is no token and no point system at this time. FOMO is listed as a potential airdrop, and active early users would be the logical recipients if a token ever launches.
What are the risks of trading on FOMO? The usual memecoin risks: volatility and slippage on low-cap coins. One-tap mobile trading makes fat-finger mistakes expensive, so always check your order size before confirming.
Is there a FOMO promo code? Yes, code FairSaltySquid gives 10% off trading fees when you sign up through our link.
