On Hyperliquid, native $HYPE staking is becoming part of the builder stack, from HIP-3 deployments to HIP-1 quote assets, trading fee discounts, and future staking-enabled products. But builders still need a clean way to turn that stake into liquid, usable infrastructure.

That’s where Sekai Finance steps in ⚡

Sekai Finance is a liquid staking protocol for Hyperliquid where projects, validators, communities, wallets, and institutions can launch custom LSTs backed by staked $HYPE. Each LST remains liquid as an ERC-20 token, while operators can set key rules such as validators, fees, deposit caps, access controls, stake floors, and governance.

The stronger part is the exit design. When users redeem an LST, they receive a transferable withdrawal receipt while the underlying $HYPE completes its unbonding period. Through Sekai DEX, those receipts and LSTs can access a dedicated liquidity market, giving holders a faster exit path and helping new LSTs avoid isolated liquidity pools.

The project is also closely connected to ValiDAO, a Hyperliquid validator and staking operator. CEO Hugin Knudsen, who is also CEO of ValiDAO, is the only visible team member on Sekai’s LinkedIn page. At this stage, Sekai has not yet published a whitepaper or audit report.

Sekai public testnet is live. Users can mint LSTs, redeem LSTs, swap through Sekai DEX, provide liquidity, market-make the DEX, and report bugs before mainnet.

Sekai has not confirmed a public airdrop, token, or points program yet. However, early activity may become relevant if Sekai launches a token and rewards early contributors.
