The world of The Beacon is under siege. Dark forces of Umbra are spreading, and the only thing holding them back is the Beacon — kept alive by Lux collected deep inside the dungeons.

The Beacon is a free-to-play fantasy action roguelite RPG with MMO aspects, available on browser and Epic Games Store. Every dungeon run is unique — layouts, enemies, and Power-Ups all change each time. Combat plays out in real-time, rewarding timing and sharp reflexes. You combine Power-Ups into builds along the way: Charms that trigger effects on hit, Pacts that trade survivability for raw power, and Stat Boosts that push your character further. When the run ends, the build resets — only your skill carries forward.
Built by an indie studio of gamers, veteran MMO builders, and blockchain engineers, the team shipped the first prototype on Arbitrum in 2022 and brought the game to the Epic Games Store in 2024. PvP, UGC tools for creators, and spin-off experiences like auto-battlers and tower defense are all in development — a sign of how much larger the vision is beyond the current game.
🪂 Goblin’s Gambit — Season 1 Is Live
Goblin’s Gambit is live, and The Beacon is putting real $BCN in players’ hands before the token ever hits an exchange. Two pools drive the season. The Base Pool ties $BCN to Glint purchases — every dollar spent earns a fixed $BCN amount, though the rate steps down across seven stages as the pool depletes, so getting in early matters.
The Bonus Pool is purely gameplay-driven, flowing through Umbra Chest openings and Kraken Klash activity. No exchange listing yet, which makes this a genuine pre-TGE window.
Eligibility tiers:
• Free Player — Run dungeons, earn Umbra Shards, open Umbra Chests, collect Bonus Pool $BCN. Cosmetics earned stay account-bound and cannot be traded.
• Premium Player — The Starter Pack unlocks larger $BCN bundles per chest, expanded stamina per run, stamina refill purchases, and full NFT ownership of earned cosmetics.
• NFT Holder — Founding Characters generate 200 Umbra Shards per daily snapshot. Moonfae Pets apply a 10–20% Yield Boost to dungeon shard drops. Writ of Passage holders unlock an exclusive upgrade questline available only this season.
• Referrer — Each referred player starts with 50 Gobloonz + 1 Umbra Chest, and you earn a percentage of their Glint purchases all season.
⏳ Rates step down with each stage — earlier participation locks in higher $BCN rewards.

Onboarding → Head to The Beacon webapp or install through the Epic Games Store, click Register, connect a compatible wallet, and complete onboarding.

Run Dungeons → Drop into a dungeon and start fighting. Rooms, enemies, and Power-Ups change every run — mix Charms, Pacts, and Stat Boosts into a build that works for you and push as deep as you can. The deeper you go, the more Umbra Shards you walk out with.

Choose Your Path at The Cellar → Once you’ve got Umbra Shards, head to The Cellar and make your call. Open Umbra Chests for steady, predictable $BCN, or convert shards into Gobloonz and take your shot at Kraken Klash — a prediction-based board game where bigger risk means bigger potential rewards.
